Omar Maldonado has over 20 years of experience in aviation development. Omar began their career in 1997 as an Adjunto Director de Mantenimiento and Ingeniero I at Aeropostal. In 2013, they became the Director de Mantenimiento at Avior Regional Airlines C.A., where they designed, developed, and implemented short and long-term maintenance plans, managed technical manuals and parts supply, and coordinated maintenance plans with operations personnel. In 2015, they took on the same role at Aerolineas Estelar, where they were responsible for obtaining the airline's certification under RAV 121, obtaining the AOC, and developing policies, plans, and programs for the maintenance area. Since 2016, they have been working as an Aviation Development Director at Soma Software and as a Staff Member at both Blue Condor Solutions LLC and Hangar Central.

Omar Maldonado attended Instituto Universitario de Tecnología Antonio José de Sucre from 1993 to 1996, where they earned a Técnico Superior Universitario in Ingeniería eléctrica y electrónica.
