Laurence Demers is a Senior Scientific Advisor at SOLVD Health, providing expertise on clinical trials, toxicology testing, and molecular diagnostics since January 2014. Concurrently, Laurence serves as Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Penn State Hershey Medical Group, mentoring junior faculty and fellows. Previously, Laurence was a Distinguished Professor of Pathology and Medicine at Penn State University from June 1973 to June 2011, conducting cancer research and serving as director of the Clinical Chemistry section. Laurence also held the role of Past-President of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Upstate Medical University, a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, and a Fogarty International Fellowship at the University of Oxford.
