Branden Collins has been working in the field of cyber security since 2010. Branden began their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they held the roles of MOS 5974 Tactical Data Systems Administrator and E-4 Corporal (Management). In these roles, Branden was responsible for the operational management, maintenance, and support of select Tactical Data Systems, as well as conducting periodic inspections and preventive maintenance. Branden also prepared organizational charts and drafted/delivered detailed reports.
From 2016 to 2019, Branden Collins was a disabled veteran, and in 2019 they began their studies in Cyber Security at the University of Charleston. Branden was a Cyber Security Student until 2021, when they accepted the role of Security Operations Center Analyst with Solutions Granted, Inc. In this role, Branden was responsible for analyzing potential threats, identifying if they were threats, and determining what to do with them. Branden also monitored alerts at a 24/7 work center, communicated with customers if there were threats, and threat hunted. Additionally, Branden trained people on the processes and operations within being a SOC Analyst and of the responsibilities carried with day-to-day duties.
Most recently, Branden Collins has been seeking employment as a Recent Graduate in Cyber Security.
Branden Collins has an extensive education history in the field of Cyber Security. Branden obtained their High School Diploma from Big Creek High in 2008. Branden then attended DeVry University Charlotte NC, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. Branden continued their education at UMUC Asia, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security in 2014. In 2011, they attended Communication Electronics School, where they completed a Basic Electronics Course. Branden also attended MCCES, where they completed a Tactical Data Systems Technician course. In 2021, Branden Collins began their Master's degree in Cyber Security at the University of Charleston, which they are expected to complete in 2023. In 2022, they completed a CSI Linux Certified Investigator (CSIL CI) course from CSI Linux in the field of Cyber Security Forensics. Branden also completed a Security+ course from ACI Learning in the same year. Branden Collins has also obtained several certifications, including CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in October 2022, A+ Certified from CompTIA in August 2014, Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance - (Inactive and Eligible) from the United States Marine Corps in August 2010, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council, Certified Network Defender (CND) from EC-Council, and CompTIA Security+ Certification from CompTIA.
