Robert McNeil has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. Robert began their career as a Licensed Electrician for Nardone Electrical Corporation. In 2005, they also worked as a Test Technician for Breda/Aerotek and Sensarray. In 2008, they worked as an RF Test Technician for IST/EDO/ITT. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Field Service Engineer for Vista Research Inc. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as an Intermediate Electrical Engineer for American Systems. Since 2017, they have worked as a System Engineer/Systems Administrator for teamitec, and since 2019 they have been a DevOps Engineer for SOLUTE.

Robert McNeil obtained their Bachelor Degree in Information Technology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in May 2016, having studied IT/Programming/Unix/Linux/C/C++/Java. Prior to that, they obtained an A.S. from the New Hampshire Community Technical College at Laconia in 2006, and a BEET from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2004, having studied Electronic Engineering Technology. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Learning Vagrant (August 2019), Ansible Essential Training (July 2019), Docker Essential Training: 1 Installation and Configuration (July 2019), and Learning Ansible (July 2019).
