Payton Cavanaugh is a dedicated broadcast journalism student at Emerson College, expected to graduate in May 2025, following a high school diploma from Monadnock Regional High School in June 2021. Current internship as a Border Crossings Intern at Voice of America began in September 2024. Extensive experience includes roles as Television News Reporter, News Director, Executive Producer, and Associate Producer at WEBN-TV Boston since September 2021. Additional roles encompass a Barista & Florist at Soluna Garden Farm, Writer & Photographer at WECB Milkcrate, Marketing Intern at Solaris Renewables, Summer Intern at Seacrest Studios, and Writer & Playlist Curator at Five Cent Sound. Previous experience also includes serving as a News Correspondent for The Berkeley Beacon and a Corps Member for Jumpstart.
