David Schlensker

Associate Principal, Chicago at SOLOMON, CORDWELL, BUENZ & ASSOCIATES, INC

David Schlensker is an Associate Principal with SCB, where he manages multiple large-scale projects across the country, including high-rise residential buildings to office towers to retail developments, student housing, and urban planning projects. As a primary contact for clients, David uses his more than 25 years of professional experience (the past 12 with SCB) to guide his clients through the complexities of the design, permit, bidding, and construction processes.

In the position of Senior Project Manager, David takes an active role in all phases of design and construction. He is responsible for coordinating the design and technical efforts of the architecture and consultant team, and works with contractors, city officials, and other stakeholders to ensure that the client’s needs and vision are at the center of the combined work effort. He has managed many large-scale urban projects including the LEED Platinum WMS Gaming headquarters; Moment, a 41-story multi-family residential tower in Chicago; and 1001 South State, a LEED Gold, 400-unit multi-family residential development in Chicago.

David is a member of the Board of Directors for the Chicago Lakefront Region of the American Youth Soccer Organization (currently over 3,400 players), where he has helped organize volunteers, run tournaments, actively work with the city to build and expand soccer fields in Chicago, and coach many of his daughters’ soccer teams. He is also active in his church leadership and has been a longtime member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
