Randy Wakerlin is a co-owner of Solmate Socks, a family-owned business established in 2000 that specializes in American-made socks crafted from recycled materials. Additionally, Randy serves as co-owner of Sunnyside Textiles, which has been knitting Solmate Socks since its inception; after the founder's retirement in 2014, the company was purchased and renamed. Previous experience includes roles as an animator, director, and post-production supervisor at Bent Image Lab, where Randy worked on stop-motion projects, as well as teaching positions at the Art Institute of Portland and Pacific University focusing on animation and special effects. Randy holds an MFA in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts and a BA in Experimental Film Animation from Hampshire College.
