Gerry Burtenshaw has worked in the software development industry since 1996. Theirwork experience includes Senior Software Developer roles at Solink (2017), Simbit Corp (2003), Corel Corporation (1998), and IMSI (1998). Gerry was also a Development Project Leader at Corel Corporation (1996) and a Co-Founder / CTO, Co-Founder / Project Lead / Software Architect / Senior Software Developer, and Co-Founder / Project Lead / Software Architect / Senior Software Developer at Legitmix (2010). At Cassidian Communications, Inc. an EADS North America Company, they held the role of Senior Software Developer (2005) and was responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining VoIP PBX server code.

Gerry Burtenshaw attended Lisgar Collegiate Institute from 1984 to 1989, where they obtained their High School diploma. Gerry then attended the University of Ottawa from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained an Hon. Comp. Sci. in Computer Science.
