Santiago Otero López has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Santiago started their career at CPM Integracion in 2017, where they worked as an Ingeniero I+D Hardware & Firmware Embedded until 2018. In the same year, they joined FICOSA as a Test bench engineer and also worked as an Electronic engineer at Purengy. From 2019 to 2022, Santiago worked at ELECTRANS as a RAMS Engineer. Currently, they hold the role of Director de proyecto at Solideo Renovables and will assume the position of Chief Operating Officer in January 2023.

Santiago Otero López has a comprehensive education history in various fields. Santiago began their studies at the Universidad de León, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering and Automation in 2015. Subsequently, they pursued a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Aero Engines, which they completed in 2016.

In 2017, Santiago enrolled at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, undertaking a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Industrial Organization. Santiago successfully completed this program in 2019.

Furthermore, they obtained a postgraduate degree in Technical Cybersecurity in Railway Infrastructures (Postgraduate Degree Specialization in Technical Cybersecurity in Railway Infrastructures) from the same institution.

Notably, Santiago also obtained a certification in ThePowerMBA from ThePowerMBA institution in December 2020.
