Karen Kantor, P.G. is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience in solid and hazardous waste management. Currently serving as the Special Programs Manager at the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County since April 2017, Karen previously held the position of Environmental Manager for solid and hazardous waste at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection from March 2005 to April 2017. Karen's career began as an Environmental Specialist at Florida Health from 2000 to 2005 and as a Project Geologist at WEI Environmental Services from 1995 to 1999. Karen earned a Master’s degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences and a Bachelor of Science in Geology, both from the University of Florida.
