Elgay Kalay has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the procurement and supply chain management field. Since 2016, they have been with Solenis, where they served as the Chief Procurement Officer and Vice President of Global Procurement. Prior to Solenis, they worked at Graphic Packaging International as the Director of Continuous Improvement and Quality for Pulp and Paper Mills, and as the Procurement Director and Tall Oil Operations Manager. Before that, they held positions at Georgia-Pacific LLC as the Director of Storeroom/MRO Inventory and Asset Disposition, Director of Divisional Purchasing & Stores for Consumer Products Division, and Senior Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Manager, among others. Elgay also held roles at Fort James Corporation as the Technical and Environmental Lab Manager and at James River Corporation as a Senior Process Engineer. Elgay began their career at Sonoco as a Principal Research Scientist. Overall, Elgay Kalay's work experience demonstrates their expertise in procurement, strategic planning, and supply chain management.

Elgay Kalay holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Jack Welch Management Institute, which was obtained from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering & Technology Management at Portland State University from 1996 to 1999. Additionally, Elgay Kalay earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Pulp and Paper Engineering from the State University of New York at Oswego, attended from 1992 to 1994. They also obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Anadolu University in 1990 and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering from the same university, completed from 1986 to 1990. In terms of additional certifications, Elgay Kalay holds a Certified Supply Chain Professional certification from the North American Supply Chain Association, obtained in August 2005, and has participated in the 2017 Leadership Solenis - Diversity & Inclusion Cohort program offered by Solenis.
