Caleb John has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Senior Software Engineer at Solartility since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Firmware Developer at Vermillion Power Technologies from March 2019. In 2021, Caleb joined Energy Toolbase as a Software Developer, where they worked on the Acumen EMS and its associated simulator until July 2022. Caleb also has experience as an Optical Technician at Delft University of Technology in 2018 and as a Photonic Structures Intern at NTT Basic Research Labs from May 2016 to April 2017. Additionally, Caleb gained research experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Institute for Quantum Science and Technology, working on analysis and extraction of data from a QRNG, as well as programming FPGA chips for a QKD system, during the summers of 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018.

Caleb John pursued their education at the University of Calgary, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering from 2013 to 2017. Following their undergraduate studies, they further enhanced their academic qualifications by undertaking a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2018 to 2021, still at the University of Calgary.
