Benedikt Hamers is an experienced risk management professional currently serving as VP of Risk Management at Solaris SE since September 2015, where the focus has been on leading Financial Risk Management and the Risk Controlling Function since June 2021. Hamers manages the implementation and performance of risk controlling processes, tools, and systems for Solaris SE and the Solaris Group. Prior to this role, Hamers held positions at Banco ProCredit Ecuador and ProCredit Mexico as Head of Risk Management, and also served as a Risk Manager, contributing to the development of risk strategies. Hamers began a career in risk management at WGZ Bank and holds a Diplom Volkswirt degree in Economics from the University of Bayreuth.
