Elli Anne Karras has gained extensive work experience in various roles throughout their career. Elli Anne started their professional journey as a Center for Writing and Speaking Tutor at Agnes Scott College. From there, they interned at Womenetics as an Editorial Intern and then joined Spark Diagnostics Inc. as an Intern to the CEO, where they worked on projects related to autism diagnosis and website domains. Elli then joined AmeriCorps as a KEYS Service Corps Member, contributing to community service efforts. Elli Anne later served as a Communication Strategy Intern at Kettering Health Network.
Elli's experience expanded further when they became a Corporate History Writer at American Textile Company. Elli Anne later joined Allegheny Health Network as a Communications Marketing Specialist. In this role, they successfully implemented communication and marketing strategies for clinical technology products and initiatives across multiple locations. Elli Anne also played a key role in increasing patient account volumes.
Elli then transitioned to Direct Energy Business, where they served as an Associate Writer, Content & Social, and contributed to content creation and social media initiatives. Currently, Elli is working at NRG Energy as a Copywriter, responsible for producing engaging and impactful written content. Recently, they were promoted to Lead Writer & Content Manager, showcasing their expertise in content creation and management.
Elli Anne Karras holds a Master's Degree in Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed in 2015. Elli Anne also obtained a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Women's Studies, Economics, and Organizational Management from Agnes Scott College, graduating in 2013. In progress, Elli is pursuing a Certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from Stanford University, set to be completed in 2022. Additionally, they are a Bridge to Business Scholar at Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, and has studied Social Sciences at the University of Amsterdam.
