Michelle Coppens-Bunker is an experienced professional in the field of domestic violence advocacy and support services. Currently serving as the Manager of Special Projects at Sojourner Family Peace Center since October 2013, Michelle provides direct services on critical domestic violence cases and acts as a liaison to the US Military, representing the agency in various homicide and child abuse review teams. Prior to this role, Michelle worked from May 2004 to 2013 as the Director of Systems Based Advocacy Programs at Sojourner Family Peace Center, overseeing programs that include legal advocacy for domestic violence victims at the Milwaukee County Courthouse and within local police districts. Earlier in Michelle's career, from 1999 to 2004, a tenure as a Crisis Intervention Counselor at Friends of Abused Families was marked. Education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Marian University of Fond du Lac and an Associate degree in Criminal Justice and Police Science from Moraine Park Technical College.
