Sam Havelock has a diverse work experience. Sam is the founder and CEO of SOFX Inc., a private industrial network that serves the Special Operations, Private Military Contractor, and Sensitive Warrior Network communities. Sam is also the CEO of SOFX Network. Prior to founding SOFX Inc., Sam worked as a Venture Developer and Investment Banker at Industrica, where they designed, built, and commercialized technology systems. Before that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of Federated Precision, Inc., an Advanced Manufacturing Enterprise that specializes in high-speed, ultra-tight tolerance precision manufacturing. Sam also has experience in the military, having served as a Navy SEAL and Program Manager for the United States Special Operations Command. Sam held various roles within the Naval Special Warfare, including Commanding Officer of Special Reconnaissance Team One and Executive Officer of Special Boat Team Twenty. Sam also served as a Staff Officer and Program Analyst for the Commander of United States Special Operations Command.
Sam Havelock's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science from The Citadel, which they obtained from 1987 to 1991. Later, from 1996 to 2012, Sam received training and education from the Navy SEAL TEAMs, focusing on making hard decisions under pressure, threat, and ambiguity. In 2005 to 2006, they pursued Military Science and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree from the USMC Command and Staff College. From 2006 to 2011, Sam attended the Defense Acquisition University, where they acquired Program Management Level III skills through the completion of PMT 352A. In 2009, they simultaneously pursued an MBA degree from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, with a specialization in the Health Sector Management Program, which lasted until 2010. Alongside their MBA, Sam also pursued a Health Sector Management (HSM) program at Duke University from 2009 to 2011.
