Francisco Paisana is a highly experienced engineer specializing in cognitive radio and telecommunications. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at Software Radio Systems since March 2018, Francisco has also held the title of Senior Engineer at the same company. Prior to this, Francisco contributed to CONNECT at Trinity College Dublin as a Postdoc from September 2016 to March 2018, following a PhD journey as a student from October 2012 to September 2016. Additionally, Francisco gained research experience at INESC-ID through an Introductory Research Scholarship from September 2009 to September 2010. Educationally, Francisco holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cognitive Radio from Trinity College Dublin and a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, earned between 2007 and 2012.
