Emil Karagyozov has over 30 years of work experience, primarily in the field of airport technologies and ground handling maintenance. Emil started their career at Balcancar Engineering in 1988, where they worked as a designer, junior research associate, and leading designer until 1994. In 1994, they joined Sofia Airport, where they held various roles such as Chief of Shift in Ground Handling Maintenance, Technologist in Airport Handling, Head of Sector for Specialized Airport Systems, Chief Expert in Airport Technology, and currently serves as the Head of Department for Airport Technologies. Emil has been with Sofia Airport for more than 25 years and continues to contribute their expertise in the field.

Emil Karagyozov studied at the Technical University - Sofia from 1983 to 1988. During this time, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Material handling, construction machines, and systems.
