Nikhil Patni has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as Director of Software Engineering at SoFi. In this role, they are responsible for leading engineering organizations and building next-generation ML-based platforms. Previously, Nikhil held multiple roles at Microsoft, including Principal Software Engineering Manager. In this position, they focused on improving developer productivity and enabling Windows as a service scenarios. Nikhil also managed teams and delivered features in a fast-paced, agile environment. Prior to Microsoft, Nikhil worked as a Software Developer Engineer at Publix, where they streamlined store inventory management and integrated forecasting models.

Nikhil Patni obtained a Bachelor's of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer Science from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Lamar University, which they completed in the years 2000 to 2002.
