Liz Young has a diverse work experience in the finance and investment industry. Liz is currently the Head of Investment Strategy at SoFi. Prior to that, they worked as a CNBC Contributor from April 2020 to March 2021. Before joining CNBC, Liz held various roles at BNY Mellon, including Director of Market Strategy from December 2018 to March 2021, and VP, Senior Investment Strategist from May 2015 to December 2018. Liz also worked as an Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Analyst at Robert W. Baird & Co. from October 2011 to May 2015, and as a Research Analyst at BMO Global Asset Management from September 2009 to October 2011. Liz started their career at M&I Wealth Management, where they served as Assistant Supervisor - Securities Desk, SBAs, HSAs from June 2008 to September 2009, and as a Trust Operations Specialist from December 2004 to June 2008.

Liz Young has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Marquette University, which was completed in 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Lubar College of Business in 2004. Their BBA degree focused on Finance and Marketing, with a minor in Spanish. In addition to their degrees, Liz has obtained certifications such as the CFA Charterholder from CFA Institute and the Series 66 and Series 7 certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
