Fredrik Engströmer has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Fredrik started their career as an Internship Student at Saab Kockums AB, where they worked during the summers from 1990 to 1994.

Fredrik then joined Ericsson in 1994, where they held various roles such as Director of Sales, Key Account Manager, and Director of Sales New Account Management, primarily based in Latin America and the Caribbean.

In 2000, Engströmer became Vice President, Head of Marketing and Business Development for Central America at Ericsson. Fredrik later served as Vice President and Key Account Manager for telecom companies in Austria, Sweden, Denmark, and Mexico.

Engströmer's career at Ericsson also included positions as Head of Sales, Head of Marketing Communication Services, and Head of Marketing for 5G Core and Telecom Core Transformation.

In 2018, Engströmer joined Region Stockholm as Head of Innovation, where they contributed to innovations within the organization.

Fredrik Engströmer has a diverse education history. In 1984, they completed their high school education at St Petri High School in Malmö, Sweden. Following this, from 1987 to 1988, they pursued Russian language studies and Eastern Europe studies at Uppsala University. In 1992, they engaged in master thesis studies focused on nuclear physics as part of the M.S.C.E.Ph. program at USP - Universidade de São Paulo.

In 1993, Fredrik enrolled at the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering Physics in 1993. During the same year, they attended Universidad de Guadalajara in Mexico, specializing in Spanish studies.

Moving forward, in 1999, Fredrik pursued Executive MBA studies at Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, USA. In 2000, they participated in the Ericsson Management Program in San Jose, Silicon Valley, US, specifically focusing on "Inside the IP Tornado." In 2001, they completed an Executive Program in Dallas, US, as part of the Ericsson Management Program.

Furthering their executive education, Fredrik participated in the Ericsson Management Program globally, undertaking Executive MBA studies in Canada, India, and Sweden in 2003. Eventually, in 2005, they concluded their education history by attending the Executive MBA studies at Columbia University's Columbia Business School, focusing on strategy.

In addition to their formal education, Fredrik obtained a certification in Inbound Marketing from HubSpot in November 2017.
