Marcus Nilsson, PhD CFDS, is a seasoned Financial Data Scientist at Sociovestix Labs, where expertise lies in bridging financial data science with actionable insights for responsible investment processes. With experience as both a Junior and Senior Financial Data Scientist since April 2017, Marcus contributes to the mission of understanding societal demands on financial markets. In addition, Marcus serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the Deep Data Delivery Standard and has a strong research background, including data collection for the Responsible Investor 2017 awards at ReFine Research. Marcus holds a PhD in Finance from the ICMA Centre, where the thesis focused on socially responsible fixed income investment, following a distinguished academic path that includes an M.Litt. in Finance and Management and a BSc (Honours) in Management from the University of St Andrews. Early entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding Nirodata HB and Siplica, along with experience as a Sales Assistant at TeliaSonera.
