Twyla Bartel, DO, MBA, FACNM, FSNMMI has diverse work experience in the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. Twyla currently serves as the Vice President of the PET Center of Excellence at the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), where they are responsible for overseeing the center's operations. Twyla is also the President of the Academic Council at SNMMI and has previously served as the Past President of the Correlative Imaging Council (CIC) and as a Director At Large. Prior to their work at SNMMI, Dr. Bartel worked as a PET/CT Teleradiologist at Desert Radiology. Twyla also co-owned Global Advanced Imaging, PLLC. Dr. Bartel started their career at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where they worked as a Nuclear Medicine Physician and Radiologist for ten years. Additionally, they served as the President of the American College of Nuclear Medicine from 2014 to 2015.
Twyla Bartel, DO, MBA, FACNM, FSNMMI completed a PET/CT Fellowship and Nuclear Medicine Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from 2002 to 2005. In 2011 to 2014, they pursued a Radiology Residency with a Neuroradiology Mini-Fellowship at UAMS, Little Rock. Twyla Bartel also attended Okinawa Christian School from 1974 to 1981, but the degree name and field of study are not specified.
