Hadeel Alkhairw MD FACP MS-HQSM DipABOM has extensive work experience in the medical field. Hadeel currently holds the position of Chief Quality Officer at NYC HHC Elmhurst Hospital Center, where they are responsible for overseeing the quality of patient care. Hadeel previously served as the Clinical Director, leading the establishment of a safety net clinic at Elmhurst Hospital to provide primary care for patients with homelessness and housing instability. Prior to their current role, Dr. Alkhairw was a Clinical Lead and Attending Physician at the same hospital.

In addition to their work at NYC HHC Elmhurst Hospital Center, Dr. Alkhairw has held leadership positions at the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM). Hadeel is currently the President Elect Mid-Atlantic Region and has served as Membership Chair and Membership Chair-Elect for the same region.

Dr. Alkhairw has also been involved in academia, holding positions at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Hadeel is a Clinical Assistant Professor and previously served as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine.

Before joining Icahn School of Medicine, Dr. Alkhairw worked at Montefiore Health System as a Board Certified Internist, where they provided comprehensive medical care to patients. Hadeel began their medical career at Flushing Hospital Medical Center as an Internal Medicine Resident.

In 1998, they began their medical education at Al-Jami'at Al-Mustansiriyah, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2004, focused on the field of medicine.

From 2020 to 2022, they enrolled at Thomas Jefferson University to pursue a Master's degree in Healthcare Quality & Safety Management, specializing in health/healthcare administration/management. Hadeel'slatest certification, the Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), was obtained in January 2023.

Furthermore, Hadeel has shown a commitment to leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion by attending the ACGME Equity Matters program in 2021 and 2022, where they focused on developing expertise in leadership within these areas.
