Nazanin Ghaffari is an accomplished academic currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry since August 2023. Ghaffari holds a position as a 2022 Social Science Research Council Arts Research with Communities of Color Fellow. Previous academic roles include Adjunct Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Texas at Arlington, as well as Instructor in various courses related to urban planning and design. Ghaffari's extensive teaching experience spans multiple institutions and includes significant involvement with the Regional Slum Upgrading Working Group. Ghaffari earned a Ph.D. in Urban Planning and Public Policy and another Ph.D. in Urban Studies/Affairs, along with a Master of Arts in Urban Design and a Bachelor of Architecture.
