Erin Hazan is a seasoned researcher and academic currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Social Science Research Council since July 2023 and as a PhD Fellow at the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies at Wits University since August 2022. Erin's extensive experience includes roles as a PhD Candidate, graduate tutor, and research associate at the University of the Witwatersrand, contributing to a project on sexual violence in South Africa. Previous positions include Proposal Fellow at the Social Science Research Council, Research Assistant at the University of Oxford, and various legal consulting roles. Erin holds a Master of Science in African Studies from the University of Oxford, as well as undergraduate and honors degrees in History and African Literature from the University of the Witwatersrand, where doctoral studies in History are currently underway.
