Shaun Maidment has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Shaun is currently the Commercial Director SADC at Sochitel, starting in February 2023. Prior to that, Shaun worked as a Programme Management Consultant for various companies starting in August 2019. In May 2019, they founded their own company, Breev. Shaun also served as the Director of Partnerships and Consulting at Uniq Axxess (Pty) Ltd from July 2017. Before that, they held various roles at MTN, including Senior Manager Sales Enablement, Sales Enablement Manager, and Manager Business Analysis. Shaun began their career as a Business Process Consultant at Rand Merchant Bank in 2006 and later worked as a Project Manager at Automated Outsourcing Services Ltd. Shaun first gained experience in project management as a Project Manager at FNB South Africa, where they worked from 2002 to 2005.

Shaun Maidment completed their education starting in 1994 at Westonaria Hoërskool, where they obtained a National Certificate in Matric in 1998. Shaun then enrolled in Cranefield College of Project and Programme Management from 1999 to 2006, where they earned a Master of Commerce (MComPM) degree with a field of study in Project Management.

In 2010, Shaun attended the International Institute of Business Analysis and obtained the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification. Later that same year, they also completed a short course titled "Building Business in Low Income Markets" at GIBS.

In 2013, Shaun pursued a course on Copyright at HarvardX.

Additionally, Shaun obtained various certifications, including Business Process Framework (eTOM) Level 4, Frameworx Level 2, and Information Framework (SID) Level 2 from TM Forum. Shaun also achieved the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis. The specific dates of obtaining the CBAP certification are unknown.
