Al Hemaida has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. In 2010, they started as a Lifeguard at Bob's Gym and Fitness Center while also working as Sports Information at Williams College. In 2015, they worked as a Sales Associate at Guitar Center before transitioning to the role of Project Manager at CP Handheld Technologies, where they coordinated software implementation and support. From 2017 to 2018, Al worked at C.H. Robinson as an Associate Sales Executive and later as a Strategic Business Development responsible for new business growth. In 2016, they co-founded SquadHoops. In 2022, they joined Becker Logistics as a National Account Manager, focusing on B2B supply chain sales and consulting. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Business Development at SOAR Transportation Group, starting in 2023.

Al Hemaida attended Bloomington High School South from 2005 to 2008 and received the distinction of being an AP scholar with honors. After completing high school, Al Hemaida enrolled at Williams College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from 2008 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Al Hemaida obtained certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding from the American Red Cross.
