Doug Mittler is an experienced statistician and researcher with a robust background in sports media. Since October 2021, Mittler has worked as a Statistician for Turner Sports, focusing on MLB coverage. In addition, Mittler has been with SportsNet New York since April 2008, providing in-game statistics for New York Mets broadcasts. As a Researcher for MLB Network since March 2019, Mittler has contributed to various network shows, including winning a Sports Emmy Award for work on MLB Tonight. Previously, Mittler spent over 13 years at ESPN The Magazine as a researcher and reporter, covering diverse baseball and football topics, and formulated the successful "The Transactions Issue." Mittler's career began in 1983 at SportsTicker, where as Senior Editor, responsibilities included coordinating extensive baseball and football coverage. Mittler earned a degree from Fordham University between 1978 and 1982.
