Matt M. Casey has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Matt M. is currently working as a Data Science Content Lead at Snorkel AI since November 2022. Previously, they worked at IQM Corporation as a Data Scientist from January 2018 to November 2022. In this role, they developed a Python/SQL/G-Suite package that executed queries based on JSON inputs and built a Flask API microservice using TensorFlow/Keras for data classification.

Before IQM Corporation, Matt worked as a Freelance/Contract Data Scientist and Data Journalist from November 2017 to January 2018. During this time, they implemented natural language processing pipelines and designed recommendation systems and web apps.

Prior to their freelance work, they served as a Technical Lead at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club from January 2016 to May 2017. Here, they set up a video streaming system and handled newsletters as the club grew.

Matt also worked as a Communications Director at Fencing in the Schools, a non-profit, from November 2015 to May 2017. In this role, they optimized the organization's website for search engine exposure.

In addition, they founded Clever Move LLC in May 2014, where they worked as the Founder and Editorial Director until March 2016. Matt M. built a webapp for board game recommendations.

As a freelancer, Matt worked as a Writer from September 2012 to February 2016, contributing to various publications. Matt M. also worked as a Producer, creating radio packages for NPR affiliates from September 2006 to July 2015.

Furthermore, they served as a Ghost Writer at the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics from May 2013 to March 2014, and as the Founder of Boston Baked Multimedia from July 2011 to June 2013.

Lastly, Matt worked as an Editor at Patch.com from July 2010 to September 2012. Matt M. built community connections, produced video stories, and managed websites and social media presences.

Matt M. Casey obtained a Certificate in Machine Learning from FourthBrain in 2022. Prior to that, they attended Galvanize Inc in 2017, where they completed a Data Science Immersive Graduate program. In 2006, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, History, and English from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
