Georges Schmit is an experienced board member and advisor with a significant history of involvement in various financial and government organizations. Currently serving as a board member for Rakuten Europe Bank, SnapSwap International S.A., Saphir Capital Investment Fund, and others, Georges has also been a member of the Advisory Board on Space Resources for the Government of Luxembourg since 2009, contributing expertise to the SpaceResources.lu Initiative. Previous roles include executive duties and board positions in multiple companies and academic institutions. Georges held leadership positions at the Ministry of the Economy in Luxembourg for nearly three decades, overseeing innovation policy and investment promotion, among other responsibilities. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Université catholique de Louvain.
