Koji Taruishi began their career in 1996 when they founded We Languages, a company dedicated to sharing Japanese language and culture with the world. In 2017, they became the CEO and Editor in Chief of Hiragana Times. In 2018, they became the Japan Partner and Representative of Snapask. From 2020, We Languages has been conducting lessons primarily online.

Koji Taruishi attended OTANI High school from 1987 to 1989.
