Alex Darie has had a varied and successful career in the hospitality industry. From 2009 to 2011, they were self-employed as an Assistant Event Manager. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as an Assistant Manager at Studio 80. Alex then moved on to become the Restaurant Manager at Juleps New York Bar & Restaurant from 2014 to 2017. From 2017 to 2018, they were the General Manager at La Lucha. Most recently, they have been the Food Operations Lead at Smunch since 2018, leading the culinary, partner acquisition, and operations verticals across multiple locations. Alex has also strengthened in-house standards and hygiene regulations to ensure top quality products.
Alex Darie attended Universitatea Româno-Americană din București from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a degree in International Commercial, Banking and Financial Relationships with a field of study in International Business.
