Kevin Thomas has extensive experience in nonprofit management and fundraising, currently serving as Senior Manager at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of African American History and Culture, where leadership led to the growth of the largest active membership program within the Smithsonian and a record $10 million raised in 2017. As a Founding Partner of Partners for Philanthropy, Kevin provides counsel to nonprofits on securing philanthropic support. Previous roles include Director of Prospect Development at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies and Director of Prospect Research at Resurrection Health Care, where notable contributions included the establishment of prospect research functions and a major gift donor management system. Kevin's earlier experience includes various development roles at Georgetown University and research at Howard University. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University, and an MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University.
