Deanna Kunze is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Senior Counsel at Smithfield Foods since February 2023, where responsibilities include supporting commercial transactions, IP, and procurement needs. Previously, Deanna was a Partner at Nixon Peabody LLP for nearly 14 years, focusing on complex intellectual property issues, including patents, trademarks, and Internet law, while also managing litigation and commercial transactions in various sectors such as food and beverage and technology. Deanna began their legal career as an Associate in Intellectual Property at both Lovells and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, following a JD degree with Order of the Coif from Vanderbilt University Law School and a magna cum laude BA in Government from the University of Notre Dame.
