Daniel Thurston has extensive work experience in various roles related to sales, marketing, and strategy. Daniel started their career in 2008 as a Marketing/Sales professional at Perrigo Company plc. From 2009 to 2012, they served as a Strategy Consultant at Nielsen. In 2012, they joined Smithfield Foods as a Brand & Category Development Manager. Daniel then moved on to roles such as Manager, Category Strategy - Walmart and Manager, National Accounts - Walmart. In 2015, they became the Director of Sales at Smithfield Foods and was later promoted to Senior Director of Sales in 2017. Daniel also briefly served as the Sr. National Account Manager - Sam's Club Team Lead.
From 2005 to 2008, Daniel Thurston attended Grand Valley State University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marketing.
