Katie Swanson Sathre currently serves as the Director of Global Commercial Training + Education and Curriculum Lead for Orthopaedics at Smith+Nephew, a position held since August 2022, focusing on the strategic growth of the Orthopaedic franchise. Previously, from November 2007 to March 2022, Katie was the Director of Global Academy at Össur, where responsibilities included directing global training program development and formulating strategies for educational excellence. Prior roles at Össur also included the Director of Education and Össur Academy Manager, where leadership involved managing diverse teams and improving communication across global regions. Earlier in their career, Katie held positions including Midwest Sales Manager and Clinical Account Manager at Össur and served as Coordinator of Patient & Family Services for the American Cancer Society. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Educational/Instructional Technology from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a Minor in Anthropology from Western Washington University.
