Jim Stevens has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical supply industry. Jim started their career in 1992 at General Medical (now McKesson Medical Surgical) as a Customer Service/Sales associate, where they served regional clinics and physician practices until 1997. Jim then worked as a Sales Representative at Walsh Distribution, calling on independent and regional clinic pharmacies from 1998 to 2003. In 2004, they joined Dik Drug as a Sales Manager until 2006. Jim has been with Smith Drug Company since 2007, where they have held various roles. Jim started as the Manager of HME Services until 2015, where they supervised customer service and purchasing teams. Jim then became the Senior Manager of OTC & HME from 2016 to 2022, managing front-end product categories and supporting buyers. Currently, Jim serves as the Director of Retail Operations at Smith Drug Company, responsible for marketing and managing the merchandising team.
Jim Stevens attended Kilgore College and obtained an Associate Arts degree in Business. Jim then transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Marketing. Jim also attended Texas Tech University, specializing in Marketing. Additionally, Jim obtained a Lean Six Sigma certification from MoreSteam in June 2023.
