Nerea Cuadra has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Process Engineer at Smurfit Kappa Group, where they conducted data analysis and trained senior management on software usage. In 2008, they joined Johnson Matthey_Environmental Technologies Division as a Process Development Coordinator, managing scale-up projects and coordinating validation and certification processes. Moving on to ASR Group in 2011, they served as a Project Engineer, leading international projects and implementing an idea-to-launch process. At School of International Futures (SOIF) from 2017 to 2019, they managed strategy and advisory projects for corporate, government, and NGO clients, eventually taking on the role of Project Management Oversight Lead. Most recently, Nerea worked at Project Management and Consultancy Services as a Project Manager, before joining Smileat in 2020 as the Director of Innovation. In this role, they are responsible for defining, planning, and executing the R&D strategy, leading innovation projects, and promoting creativity within the company.
Nerea Cuadra has a comprehensive education history. Nerea obtained their first master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, completing their studies from 1999 to 2006. Following this, they participated in the Erasmus Programme and attended KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2006, where they pursued a second master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
Later, they pursued their passion for renewable energies and energy management by enrolling in Universidad CEU San Pablo for a master's program in Renewable Energies and Energy Management, which they completed from 2010 to 2012.
In terms of additional certifications, Nerea Cuadra obtained the Chartered Chemical Engineer, MIChemE CEng certification from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in October 2016. Prior to this, they completed PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from SPOCE Project Management Ltd., although the date of completion is not specified. Nerea also acquired Design Thinking: Customer Experience and Marketing Foundations: Competitive Market Analysis certifications from LinkedIn in October 2020.
