Shannon Simpson has extensive work experience in compensation and workforce management. Shannon'smost recent position was as the Director of Compensation & Workforce at Smile Brands Inc. Since 2022, Shannon took a sabbatical to recharge and spend time with family and friends. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Compensation at Wellpath from 2020 to 2022 and as the Executive Director - Compensation at WellStar Health System from 2019 to 2020. Shannon also served as the Division Compensation Director at HCA TriStar Division from 2015 to 2019, where they successfully harmonized pay policies across multiple hospitals. Shannon has held various compensation and HRIS roles at different healthcare organizations, including UHS and South Texas Health System. Shannon started their career as a Compensation Analyst at Comair, Inc. in 2005. Overall, Shannon has demonstrated expertise in compensation management, building relationships, and driving organizational success in various healthcare settings.
Shannon Simpson holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University, which was obtained from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications and Human Resources from Wright State University, from 1991 to 1996. Shannon also has a high school diploma with a focus on college preparation from Tri-County North. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Senior Certified Affirmative Action Professional from the American Association for Affirmative Action in May 2013.
