Laura Dailey serves as Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management at Smile Brands Inc. since June 2013. Previously, from May 2000 to June 2013, Laura held the position of Director of Billing at Western Dental Services. In the current role, Laura oversees a billing department with over 175 employees and has successfully centralized billing functions for 170 General Dentistry offices, resulting in a reduction of 150 full-time equivalents and enhanced financial performance. Laura’s accomplishments include managing monthly insurance and Medicaid claims of $12.2 million, hiring and training over 90 personnel, and collaborating with IT to implement systems for insurance verification and electronic claim submissions. Additionally, Laura developed various systems and policies to improve operational efficiency, including a customer service group and internal audit procedures, while also establishing relationships with insurance companies to optimize claims and payments.
