Petr Polášek has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Petr began their career as a Temporary Worker at Training & Service Center in 2011 before transitioning to become an E-shop Administrator at WineArt from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, Polášek worked as a Business Analyst Intern at smava GmbH. Petr then joined Sberbank CZ as a Data Specialist from 2016 to 2018, where they were involved in the development of a new Datawarehouse and Data Mart. Polášek returned to smava in 2018 and held various positions including Senior Business Analyst, Team Lead Analytics Technology, Head of Marketing Analytics and Analytics Technology, and Head of Web and Marketing Analytics. Petr'sresponsibilities included Tableau Server administration, stabilizing the DWH/BI platform, evaluating cloud-native DB engines, and implementing an event-driven architecture. Currently, they serve as the Director of Web and Marketing Analytics at smava.
Petr Polášek holds a Master's degree in Information Management from Brno University of Technology, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Managerial Informatics from the same university between 2011 and 2014. Petr also completed a brief study abroad program in International Business at Tampere University of Applied Sciences in 2014. In 2008 to 2010, Petr studied Informační Technologie at Brno University of Technology. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in Tableau, such as Tableau Analyst, Tableau Author, and Tableau Data Scientist. Petr also completed a course on Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI from edX in 2016.
