Bryan Bowers has extensive experience in the IT industry. Bryan is currently the IT Director at SmartStop Self Storage since 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Zumasys as a Project Manager from 2016 to 2017, where they successfully led a team in various aspects of the project lifecycle. Before joining Zumasys, Bryan founded and served as the CEO of Bowers Technologies, Inc., a full-service technology services company, from 2003 to 2016. Bryan also worked as the IT Manager at Santa Margarita Water District from 1998 to 2003. Bryan started their career as an IT Specialist at Dresselhaus Computer Products in 1993 and later worked as a Desktop Support Supervisor at Avery Dennison from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, they worked as an IT Project Manager at Control Components, Inc. in 1997.
Bryan Bowers completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business. This degree was obtained from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Information Systems from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, completing their undergraduate studies from 1992 to 1996.
In addition to their formal education, Bryan Bowers has obtained two additional certifications. Bryan earned the Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) certification from ISACA in November 2022. Furthermore, they obtained the PMP - Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2015.
