Jim Fitzpatrick's work experience includes various roles in the technology industry. Jim started their career at Quantum Corporation in 1993 as a Senior Engineer. Jim then joined Maxtor in 2001, initially as a Senior Engineer and later as a Director, where they led a team that optimized manufacturing yields and developed new technology strategies. In 2006, they joined Seagate Technology as a Principal Engineer, where they worked on improving drive reliability and integrating new technologies into disk drives. In 2010, they joined Smart Modular Technologies as a Principal Engineer and was responsible for designing signal processing and system architectures for NAND flash memory. Jim then moved to SanDisk in 2013 as an Engineering Fellow, where they played a key role in developing the company's engineering capabilities. In 2018, they joined Micron Technology as the Sr. Director of QLC Solutions. Overall, Jim Fitzpatrick has a strong background in technology and has contributed significantly to the development and improvement of various products and systems.

Jim Fitzpatrick attended UC San Diego from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a PhD/MSEE in Communication Theory & Systems. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Natick High School.
