Simon Fuelber

Global Head Learning & Leadership Development at Smartly

Simon Fuelber has a diverse and extensive work experience in learning and development. Simon is currently the Global Head of Learning & Leadership Development at Smartly.io, where they focus on building and sustaining products for people that enhance performance and leadership capabilities. Prior to this, Simon worked as the Lead of Global Learning & Development at Smartly.io and as a Senior Manager of Learning Development.

Before joining Smartly.io, Simon operated their own consulting firm, S.Fulber Consulting, where they provided tailored solutions to clients in various industries, specializing in change management, leadership development, and instructional design.

Simon's previous roles include positions at Zalando SE as a Senior Specialist in Learning and as a Team Lead for People Development. Simon also worked as a Learning Lead at ICOM Productions and held multiple roles at Vancity, including Manager of Organization Development and Learning, Senior Performance and Learning Consultant, and Project Lead for Field Trainer.

Additionally, Simon served as the Sub Committee Chair for Talent Management Track at the BC Human Resources Management Association, where they led the planning and project management for the 2010 BC HRMA Conference.

Simon Fuelber attended Simon Fraser University from 1996 to 1998, where they studied Political Science and Business Administration. In 1995, they also attended Douglas College, focusing on Political Science and Business Administration. From 2003 to 2008, Simon obtained a Diploma in Instructional Design and Delivery, Evaluation from Vancouver Community College (VCC). Additionally, they pursued studies in Finance and Financial Management Services at the Canadian Securities Institute from 2003 to 2013. In 2015, Simon completed a course on Gamification through Coursera. Simon also earned a certification in Gamification from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2014.
