Petri Jantunen is a Senior Marketing Science Partner and Customer Data Scientist at Smartly since April 2019, focused on automating and optimizing online marketing campaigns for clients. Prior to this role, Petri was a Doctoral Candidate at Aalto University from December 2016 to April 2019, researching adaptive control algorithms for HVAC systems to enhance user comfort and energy efficiency. Additional experience includes a Visiting PhD Student position at Berkeley Lab in 2018 and a Specialist role at Vahanen-yhtiöt from October 2014 to November 2016, where Petri supervised construction projects and conducted energy analyses. Earlier experiences include a Master's thesis worker at Aalto University, contributing to research on energy consumption in swimming halls, and involvement in LEED and BREEAM certifications as a Project Assistant at Green Building Partners. Petri holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Automation and a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering and Building Technology, both from Aalto University.
