I. Emre Araci has held a variety of positions in the field of engineering. I. Emre began their career in 2003 as a Research Associate at The University of Arizona. From 2010-2015, they were a Postdoc at Howard Hughes Medical Institute (@Stanford University). I. Emre then became an Assistant Professor at Santa Clara University from 2015-2016. In 2016, they Co-Founded Smartlens and has been an Associate Professor at Santa Clara University School of Engineering since 2021.

I. Emre Araci graduated with a Ph.D. in Photonics from the University of Arizona in 2010.
