Michael Ruffo has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Michael currently serves as the Technical Director of Engineering and Production at Smartflower, a company that specializes in creating clean energy technologies. In 2016, Michael also founded their own engineering consultancy firm called Chief Design, LLC, where they provided services such as mechanical and electrical design, 3D modeling, and general research and design input. Prior to that, Michael worked as the Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Bevi from 2016 to 2018. Michael has also held positions at Ultratech / Cambridge NanoTech as an Engineering Manager and Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, Lilliputian Systems Inc. as a Senior Systems Engineer, Primaira, LLC as a Product Development Engineer, Nuvera Fuel Cells as a Systems Engineer, and Thoratec and PTC as Product Development Engineer and Engineer respectively.
Michael Ruffo holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management, which they pursued from 2013 to 2015 at Tufts Gordon Institute. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Additionally, Michael's education includes participation in the Automotive Engineering Program at UTBM, although specific dates for this program are not provided.
