Roman Doppler's work experience includes various roles in marketing and growth. Roman currently holds the position of VP Marketing & Growth at Smarter Ecommerce (smec), where they lead a team covering demand generation, digital marketing, product marketing, content creation, brand management, and sales development. Roman is responsible for all growth and demand generation programs across European markets, defining market segments, ICPs (Ideal Customer Profiles), positioning, and value propositions. Their role also involves optimizing digital touchpoints, overseeing digital content strategy and channel mix. Prior to this, Roman served as the Director of Demand Generation and Team Lead Digital & Growth at Smarter Ecommerce. Roman also worked as a Marketing Automation Specialist at the company. Before joining Smarter Ecommerce, Roman worked at HEROLD Business Data GmbH as a Growth & Conversion Manager, where they played a crucial role in developing and scaling digital platforms and managing the user experience. Roman also worked as a Digital Client Consultant at ambuzzador GmbH. Roman has previous experience with 3M, where they served in roles such as European Channel Marketing in West Europe, Regional Marketing Supervisor for the Alpine Region, Marketing Coordinator in the Commercial Graphics & Architectural Markets Division, and Product Manager in the Commercial Graphics Division. In addition to their professional experience, Roman has served as a Guest Lecturer at Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt and Fachhochschule Oberösterreich.

Roman Doppler received a Master's degree in Marketing and Change Management from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 2004 to 2009. In 2016, they completed the Squared Online Digital Marketing Leadership Course, a program developed by Google. In 2013, Roman participated in the 3M Leadership Development Program "Leaders for the Future" and also attended the Online Marketing Camp at Hamburg Media School. In terms of additional certifications, Roman obtained the Elements of AI certification from the University of Helsinki in July 2018, the Inbound Marketing Certification from HubSpot Academy in January 2020, and the Inbound Sales Certification from HubSpot Academy in January 2020. Roman also acquired the Google Adwords Search Certification and the Google Analytics Individual Qualification in June 2018 and May 2018, respectively. Additionally, Roman obtained the Squared Online Digital Marketing Leadership Course certification from Squared Online in October 2016.
