Hamayal Choudhry has a diverse range of work experience. Hamayal is the Founder & CEO of smartARM, a company focused on making bionic limbs accessible to everyone. Hamayal was also part of the Next36 Entrepreneur 2020 Cohort at NEXT Canada, where they received mentorship, capital, and founder development to accelerate their business ventures. Additionally, Choudhry worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft and as a Solutions Engineer at DeepMap, Inc. Hamayal has experience as a Robotics and Controls Engineer at Tesla, a Senior Programs Assistant at the Ontario Science Centre, and a Web Developer at the Ontario Tech Student Union. Choudhry also served as a Deep Learning Research Assistant at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, where they developed computer vision systems and trained deep learning networks. Prior to these roles, they were a Flight Corporal in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets and worked as an Event Host during the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games.
From 2016 to 2019, Hamayal Choudhry attended Ontario Tech University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
